Dear HOPE Supporter,
HOPE’s Mothers’ Clubs have been very busy these past few months! In October the California-based organization Resurge International visited HOPE Hospital and conducted 28 reparative surgeries on burn victims in the communities in which we serve. It was our Mothers’ Clubs who tirelessly searched among their communities for patients and talked with the families to assure them that not only would they be at the hands of excellent doctors but that also disabilities and physical disfigurements would be greatly improved upon! We could not thank our mothers enough for their continued support in helping us to reach those most in need of care.
October 2, 2013 marks World Vision Day, and HOPE Hospital did not want to miss out on this important initiative. We invited members of our Mothers’ Clubs and community women leaders to join us for a workshop teaching them on eye care. Our mothers in attendance returned to their villages to educate the rest of the Mothers’ Clubs and conduct their own educational workshop to the mothers residing in their community. HOPE’s mothers also brought to HOPE Hospital patients who were suffering from vision problems or eye conditions so that they could receive free care on this successful day.
HOPE’s Mothers’ Clubs continue to support every mission we pursue and we are constantly grateful and admired at their pursuance of healthier communities and families.
Thank you for your continued support.
Best Regards,
Ashley Pugh
