Project Report | Aug 8, 2024
Parents and their support in studies

By Beatriz Gandara | Project Leader

The importance of parental involvement in teaching is key to the success of sons and daughters. Additionally, it can greatly benefit teachers and the quality of education.

We have completed the first semester training sessions with excellent attitude and 90% parent participation.

The topics covered were: “The Value of Punctuality”, “Responsibility”, and “Personal Hygiene”. All the content is focused on raising awareness and strengthening important aspects for girls to continue their studies.

Parental participation in the training provided by the project helps them feel more involved and happy with their daughters’ education. When there is a good connection between the schools, parents better understand the curriculum and the progress their daughters are making; it can even motivate those parents who did not finish their own education to continue it (learning to read and write).

In this task of progressive and constant construction in the lives of the scholarship recipients, the effort and collaboration of many actors are required, who with a common goal help to transform lives.

In the ‘Scholarship Project for Girls’, we trust in the methodological process and that our actions are directed towards the great adventure of fostering sustainable growth of communities through our scholarship recipients.

It is beautiful when parents become friends with their children, dissipating all fear while inspiring great respect in them.
