Friendship is a ray of sunshine on a gray day

By Beatriz Gandara | Project Leader

A true friendship is a friendship for a lifetime, and that is why knowing which friendships are worth keeping clos is very important.

And you, are you a good friend?

In our accompaniment with the scholarship students we work on values and specifically the value of friendship. With the coexistence and participation in the training provided by the Scholarship Project, significant changes are observed in the girls, the discovery of identity, the development of attitudes of tolerance and respect for diversity, and the acquisition of knowledge.

Empathy and teamwork, valuable aspects that have characterized the group of scholarship recipients and their families, since a very strong bond has been created, which has become a safe place for the girls.

Our priority is to ensure that the scholarship recipients stay in school, without neglecting to “take care of them, encourage them and make them feel esteemed”.

Through counseling, we have the opportunity to bring the scholarship girl and her family closer, to address issues such as the importance of studies, or reading reinforcement and dialogue with parents about guidance for their children. The goal? To create a bond of trust and security between the scholarship holder and the technician.
