“Climbing is like life itself: there are hard knocks and intense emotions when ascending towards a goal, but it is what gives us the most satisfaction”.
At 12 years old, Camila has had to go through difficult situations that have marked her life; one of them is living far from her mother, since she is working in the capital in order to continue supporting her daughter in her studies and give her a better quality of life. Camila lives with her grandmother, who, with her tenderness and love, takes care of her. She is like a mother to her.
The girl is very intelligent, but nevertheless has had difficulty adapting to the changes that have been generated in the educational system due to the pandemic. And at home, her grandmother would like to help her, but she cannot read or write.
Despite everything, Camila has looked for ways to get ahead. From the ‘Scholarship Project’ she was supported with school supplies, so that she could advance with her homework, and thus minimize the expenses that are incurred with the new virtual study methodology. She tries to do her homework well and on time, all in order to achieve a good average and have more opportunities to continue in the basic cycle.
Her friends are an important part of her personal and educational life; they explain to her and look for solutions when Camila does not understand some of the subjects she has learned.
The girl started the project with the hope that she would be supported to fulfill her dream of graduating, to be a professional, and thus be able to support her grandmother. Now she is happy because she feels closer and closer to that goal.
