Translation to Spanish at the bottom (Traduccion al Castellano mas abajo)

We want to take this opportunity to share with you, the interview / testimony of Sara Valentina and her daughter Darling Nazareth, a little girl who attends the Semillas del Manana Preschool located in the upper side of the La Vega neighborhood in Caracas. Nazareth benefits daily from the school pantry of the Una Arepa Para mi Pais program managed jointly between Foundations Pabellon con Arepa and Oportunidad y Futuro.

What do you think about the Una Arepa Para Mi País program that the Pabellón Con Arepa Foundation maintains in this and other schools in La Vega?

- Well, this is a big help for our community, because many children lack food, and it is a foundation that helps many children of our parish, all those children who really do not have enough food, do not feed well, are malnourished. So thanks to this foundation, the children of this school receive daily breakfast and lunch.

In the case of your daughter, how do you perceive the benefit for her?

- The benefit is very good, since I work and I can't be with her all day. Additionally, my salary is not enough to provide the quality food she receives here. Here, they prepare a balanced menu, a balanced lunch and I know she is well fed.

In the case of these days of July and August, what do you think of this summer plan that we have programmed so that children like your daughter continue to benefit from the program, enjoy recreational activities such as inflatable mattress, trampolines, visits to the cinema, among others?

- It is very good because children need these recreational spaces, especially at this time when our country is going through this serious crisis. We need to show them a different life. That despite this reality, they can feel good, enjoy, spend time with their friends. With all my heart very grateful because today it is very difficult, almost impossible, to be able to take them to the cinema for example.

Nazareth, what do you eat at school? Tell us

- I eat rice with black beans, and arepa with egg, and also like many things that I like as milk, oatmeal, arepa with meat, ham or cheese.

What about the lunch, what do you eat?

- Pasta with meat, rice with chicken and black beans.

What is your favorite food?

- My favorite food is rice with black bean and plantains.

What would you say to the people who make this program possible?

- I want to say thank you very much and if you are able to, extend it to more schools of this parish. Really very grateful to the school and the foundation.
