For some time now we have been fortunate enough to have over 100 people from across the world, making a recurring monthly donation to support our work. We have donors who donate amounts ranging from 5GBP to USD$150 per month. These recurring donations have proved to be a lifeline for us, and we have calculated that if 450 people around the world donated the equivalent of $45 a month, our financial sustainability would be secured, and so would the educational futures of hundreds of Chintsa children.
As a donor to African Angels, we know you understand our mission, and share our passion for helping the children of Chintsa reach their full potential and become Good South African Citizens. As such, we are asking you to consider sharing your story and our campaign on your social media to help spread the word - if only one friend or colleague becomes a monthly recurring donor we'll be halfway to our target just like that!
Here is Mark's story
Mark Wellnitz, from America has been a donor since he and his daughter Grace spent two weeks at African Angels in 2017. However, he, and his wife Jen, realised that once off donations, while still helpful, didn't meet the sustained needs of the school during the Covid Pandemic. They decided to become regular monthly donors.
"Our time at African Angels was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life that I will treasure forever.
"I have seen first-hand the real difference African Angels makes in the lives of its students and to the greater Chintsa community. It’s truly powerful.
"Like everyone, Jen and I want our charitable contributions to be spent wisely and to have maximum effect. We are confident that is the case with African Angels. The program’s track record is indisputable – from individual student success stories to the metrics that underscore the difference African Angels is making.
“We would enthusiastically encourage others to set up a recurring monthly donation to ensure that that African Angels able to continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people, their families and their community.”
