Term 2 ended with our sports day on Thursday 22 June. Again, it's been a busy term, with exams taking place in the last few weeks. It was fantastic to be able to finish off the term with some healthy,outdoor fun for the whole school. Take a look at the pictures in our facebook album.

I have been busy this month making the most of the networking opportunities offered by visitors to the school and the Value Logistics Worldwide Expo in Gauteng. 

Value Logistics invited me to their first Worldwide Expo. It was amazing to meet the team who are now in their third year of supporting African Angels and the work we do.  It is not often we are able to attend worthwhile networking opportunities in bigger cities... and have our work endorsed by a quality company like Value.  Thank you Value Logitics. If you are able to promote our cause in your neghbourhood, let us know and we can send you artwork for posters and flyers to help you get our message out.

What better way to celebrate the end of the exam period, than having a Games Day! The Grade 7’s went all out offering a variety of games to play, with some really good prizes to be won. Some had to deal with the disappointment of their game not being very popular and others realised the importance of location. There was a huge effort made, by some, to attract prospective customers to their stalls. They have also learned that offering a service is often more profitable than making and selling a product.

It really was a day filled with an enormous amount of fun….and sugar! Overall, they have made a profit of R5 000 which will be added to the kitty for their Hobbiton Camp in September. Well done, Grade 7’s!
