Our Sports projects keep on going and now it counts with more than 150 children, young and adults participating in it.
Last year we have initiated our participation in a new sport, Para Synchronized Swimming, which counts with 7 athletes.
Our table tennis athletes are in Italy at this moment competing at the Open Italy, in order to try to rank themselves among the best athletes worldwide. Two participants, Aline Meneses Ferreira and Juliana Ferreira da Silva, and their coach, have travelled. One of the athletes won a bronze medal. They have been practicing hard aiming the braziliam team for the Paralympic Games in 2020.
Juliana has become paraplegic at a car accident a couple years ago, almost died, stayed at the hospital for a couple months and had never played table tennis. She has been playing for 11 months now, se´s a very dedicated athlete and tells everybody how she has always dreamed of travelling around the world and now she´s having this opportunity through sports.
Our capoeira group counts with more than 20 athletes participating in it and it´s a inclusive group, in which parents also participate in it. They have been going to some of our partners in order to do some presentations and mobilizing people to our cause.
