Hello, wonderful Backup Family!
We've had an action-packed few months at Backup Uganda, and we can’t wait to share what we’ve been up to—thanks to your continued generosity and belief in our work!
Welcoming New Partner Schools!
We’re thrilled to introduce Kulukeno, Omel-Boke, and Te-Ladwong Primary Schools in Gulu as our newest partner schools! This means even more students and teachers are gaining access to support in understanding and addressing learning difficulties. We have already started working closely with them and can’t wait to keep updating you on our progress together.
Expanding Our Training Efforts
We had the amazing opportunity to conduct an introductory training for Geneva Global’s Speed School facilitators in Gulu, Iganga, and Soroti. Geneva Global has been a long-time partner, and it’s inspiring to see their facilitators eager to learn more about how to support children with learning difficulties.
Growing Our Team
A big shoutout to our two newest Frostig trainees, Patricia and Proscovia! They’ve joined our 1-year traineeship program to learn all about supporting children who experience difficulties and disabilities in learning, and we can’t wait to see the impact they’ll have.
Coming Up: Little by Little Matching Campaign!
Mark your calendars! From March 25-28, GlobalGiving’s Little by Little campaign will match 50% of each donation up to $50—so your support goes even further! Our goal is to raise $800 to improve workbooks and training guides for our ODII partner schools. These resources are helping teachers and administrators remotely access our vital training on learning difficulties and disabilities.
If you’d like to help, a small donation next week can make a BIG difference! Stay tuned for details on how to give.
As always, we’re so grateful for your support—you’re making this all possible!
Much love,
The Backup Uganda Team
