Despite the obstacles we've faced with keeping kids in the game over the past two years, thanks to you, we have still enjoyed many successes! Now with your continued help, we are ready to grow!
Recently, our MVP, Amara, and her family were recognized at a John Hopkins University Women's Lacrosse game during World Down Syndrome Day. It has been great to see some of our MVPs still actively supporting their teams! As COVID restrictions are being lifted across the country, we are happy to share that we are moving forward with our mission and even have plans for an exciting new expansion project!
We have just recently announced our Team Up For Esports program. Even though we are returning to in-person sports activities, many of our kids with challenges have increased health risks and still may not be able to participate in in-person team sports. As such, we are expanding our programs to now include esports! Esports is competitive organized video gaming that is popular on most college campuses. Your support will allow 25 kids to pilot our new program with several colleges in the Mid-Atlantic area.
For more information about esports and how the program will benefit our MVPs, check out our most recent GlobalGiving project at: https://goto.gg/55830.
With gratitude,
