We are so happy to announce that we reached our initial goal of sending 400 kids on game drives within the first year of starting this program! Not only that, but we have seen the impacts of this project first hand and it has been so incredibly worthwhile.
During the course of the last few months, we have received various good feedback from the community. Children said that they don’t want to go to zoos anymore, they want to go to nature reserves to see animals. Adults accompanying the children have seen wildlife in person for the first time and told us how magical the experience has been for them. Our project coordinator within the community has even told us that that this exercise definitely will, and already has, reduced and changed mindsets towards poaching activities.
We are so proud of what this project has achieved thus far, and we are so excited to share more with you!
In the next coming months, we are gearing up to expand and send another 400 children into the reserve. We would like to thank you for your contributions to this project, every little donation has helped make a difference in the lives of these children and the future of wildlife.
