Life for women in rural areas is hellish for both women and girls. This pilot project will change the lives of 104 impoverished women in 15 villages in Dogbo, in the Republic of Benin (Africa). They will receive training that will enable them to create and manage income-generating activities or improve those they currently engage in, such as the production and processing of agro-pastoral products into gari, donuts, tapioca, oil, etc. Your support is appreciated.
Women in rural areas like Dogbo live under difficult conditions. They lack resources, adequate training, and economic opportunities to support their families. Agricultural and agro-pastoral processing activities are neither profitable nor sustainable without technical and financial support. This project aims to break this cycle of poverty and provide viable and sustainable economic opportunities for these women.
The project will offer training to 104 women in 15 villages in Dogbo. These trainings will focus on the creation and management of income-generating activities as well as the improvement of existing activities. Women will learn to produce and process agro-pastoral products such as gari, donuts, tapioca, and oil. In addition to the training, material resources and ongoing support will be provided to ensure effective implementation of the acquired skills.
This project will transform the lives of women and their communities in the long term. It will reduce poverty in the targeted villages, promote economic independence for women, and create a replicable local development model.
