Project Title: “Help Build an Orphanage”

Duration: 01-06-2024 to 31-08-2024

This report provides an update on the progress made on the "Help Build an Orphanage" project during the first quarter. Significant milestones have been achieved which includes securing a land at Topko, a community located in Shai-Osudoku District, Greater Accra region of Ghana which is more suitable for providing a solid foundation for the orphanage construction as compared to the initial intention of building in Asebe.

The following are the updates for this quarter:

• Land acquired for the building of the orphanage. The land was donated by the Ameli family in Topko and a token was given to the family to show our appreciation.
• Pillars have been placed on the land to clearly define its boundaries and paper documentation are ongoing to ensure legal ownership and to prevent future disputes.
• Necessary permits and approvals from relevant authorities are being worked on.
• The first phase architectural drawings for the orphanage building have been completed, outlining the proposed layout and structure.
• A total of $723 have been spent on the project till date. This includes $71 for erecting pillars, $194 for the land acquisition token, $323 for architectural drawings, and $45 for the land assessment trip.

We are grateful to all donors, however, there is the need for additional funding to cover the remaining costs of construction, including materials, labor, and infrastructure.

In conclusion, "Help Build an Orphanage" project has made significant progress during this quarter as we lay a strong foundation for the construction of a much-needed orphanage in Topko. We believe once more funds are received, we will be able to reach the multiple number of orphans and abandoned children.
