It’s that magical time of the year again, it’s Christmas.
While Children around the globe look forward to the season of lights, magic, hope and gifts; Boudy our 10 year old patient is also one of these children, despite the fact that he is suffering from ALL (Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia) cancer.
This is Boudy’s second Christmas at CCCL and hopefully he still has one more Christmas to go and he will be done with his treatment.
Christmas is a very busy month at CCCL, as they make sure they organize daily activities for their patients, to make sure that they get the true feel of the holidays.
As Father Christmas was roaming the halls of the center he approached Boudy and asked him what he wished for this Christmas. Boudy looked at Father Christmas in the eye while sitting on his lap and replied in a shy deep voice, and said “health”.
So Father Christmas said, only health?! No toys?”
Boudi replied that when he was admitted to CCCL, he never thought he will be living to see another Christmas, that’s why he wants to wish for health so he can experience more and more Christmases and share it with his fellow patients and loved ones.
Thanks to Boudy’s family, friends, nurses, medical team and staff at CCCL and thanks to all the donations that came through CCCL UK and GlobalGiving UK, Boudy was able to celebrate another Christmas.
Let’s help Boudy reach to many more Christmases by donating towards his treatment and give him another chance in life.
