Boudy, 8 years old, is fighting Leukemia at the Children's Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL), where kids with cancer are treated for free, with no cost at all on their parents and without any kind of discrimination. CCCL UK supports this center where around 300 patients from Lebanon and the region are being treated, with an average yearly cost of $55,000 and an amazing average cure rate of 80%! Our goal from this project is to raise the treatment cost of Boudy for this year at CCCL.
Given the high cost of cancer treatment in Lebanon averaging $55,000 per year for every child, and with the unstable economic situation worldwide, it has become very challenging to raise all the needed funds to treat the kids, taking into consideration that the treatment takes on average 3 years. Today, CCCL UK has been able to cover the treatment of one child per year since 2014 whereas our aim is to help treat more children and save more lives.
CCCL UK is adopting online crowdfunding as a new way to fundraise hoping that we can reach as many bighearted people as possible to help us treat as many kids as possible. Accordingly, the more funds we raise, the more kids we can help beat cancer.
CCCL not only offers advanced medical treatment but also psycho-social and educational support, helping our survivors continue their lives cancer-free but also in a very normal and promising way.
