Gardi women group has started farming 8,000 fishes in four ponds and chicken and duck in a shed. The shed construction support (USD 6,000) was provided by Madi municipality, while the baby fishes, chicken and ducks were purchased with the money raised through GlobalGiving.
The women group is procuring and feeding chicken/fish/duck foods daily with its own investment. They organize a regular weekly meeting with all 90 members of the group and decide to divide the roles and responsibilities among the members. It looks the women groups members are excited to be involved in this type of women-led economic growth activities.
