By Maria de Elizalde de Reynolds | President of NGO owner of the Hogar Santa Ana
Hello Friends of the Hogar Santa Ana:
We are very happy that the New Normal (without Covid but still extra care) has been ok.
We have had several problems in the building (understandable when you have a building that is over 150 years old), but it creates many difficulties when our budget is so tight. We are grateful we managed to repair some pipes in 3 out of 5 bathrooms that we had to close permanently, thus affecting the quality of life of our 52 ladies. It was a temporary fix, but for the time being we are ok.
Argentina won the Soccer World Championship, and although our ladies did not join the 5 million argentines that went out on the streets, we celebrated with a Pizza Party!!
And the end of the year came with our usual Christmas and New Years celebrations.
More to follow in the next report! Thank you for your ongoing support.
