This project will provide foodstuffs, clothing, basic medication, sanitary pads and emotional support to 1000 internally displaced persons especially women and children, who are the most affected by the ongoing war in the Cameroons. Of this number we will provide scholarship to 100 pupils and students who have succeeded to move to safer zones in the country where they can attend schools and train 50 women & 50 youths on skills and give seed capital to enable them earn their own living
According to the UNHCR in their october 2018 reports on the war in the NW and SW regions of Cameroon, more than 437000 inhabitants of these regions are IDPs and more than 35000 others living as refugees in Nigeria. More than 63% of IDPs are women and 43% are children. They are exposed to extreme suffering, hunger, diseases and have no access to shelter, clean water, schools clothing and medical care. This project will affect more than 850 IDPs who live in bushes and those in safer zones.
HOPE FAMILY LIFE will provide foodstuffs, clothing, medicine and health care to the suffering IDPs. We will also provide 100 scholarships to children living in safer zones and train 50 women and 50 youths on skills like hair dressing, tailoring, carpentry, mechanics and provide those trained with small seed capitals to enable them start their own businesses to earn their own living and help others in need.
This project will educate 100 youths giving them the opportunity to rise out of poverty. It will also provide nutritive foodstuff and medicines thereby fighting diseases and increasing the life expectancy of the beneficiaries. By training 50 women and 50 youths and giving them seed capital, we provide them with the tools to rise out of poverty, lead a healthier and more productive life and reduce mortality rate, reduce prostitution,unwanted pregnancy, STD and reduce recruitment of child soldier.
