In less than two months, our Global Smile Foundation (GSF) and GSF-MENA teams will be working together in Beirut, Lebanon!
There are many children born with cleft lip and/or palate who are waiting for care. The economic crisis in Lebanon has impacted the entire country and many basic services are unavailable (read the World Bank report here). Our patient population includes refugees from neighboring countries and Lebanese residents who live at the lower end of the socio-economic spectrum. Without treatment, children born with cleft, and their families, suffer poor health, malnutrition, and social isolation.
Our teams will provide surigical care, nutrition consultations, speech and language sessions, and oral hygeine care. In addition, we provide PCR testing for volunteers, patients, and family members as part of our COVID-19 safety protocols.
Every dollar donated makes a difference in the lives of our patients!
