The Global Smile Foundation (GSF) and GSF-MENA teams completed a successful mission in Beirut, Lebanon last month and provided free comprehensive cleft care for underserved children living in the region.

The economic crisis in Lebanon has severely impacted all populations, making refugees even more vulnerable and increasing the number of Lebanese people living in insecure situations. Our patients come from underserved communities that have been severely impacted in the past three years. Without cleft care, our patients and their families will suffer even greater risk for malnutrition, poverty, and poor health.

Thanks to your support, our volunteer teams were on the ground to provide free comprehensive cleft care, including:

35 surgeries
21 nutritional consultations
31 speech and language sessions
80 oral hygiene sessions

Our next mission in Lebanon will be in November 2022.
