Greetings!
We are very grateful for your generous donation, these types of actions encourage us to give continuity to success stories like the one we want to present to you:
This baby boy arrived with his mother at the Sanado Heridas clinic in San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas in January of this year when he was four months old. He is the youngest of four siblings. His father left his family to go north to work. Her mother did not receive prenatal care during her pregnancy. He entered our surveillance groups with a case of cleft lip and palate, so severe that he had difficulty feeding. His mother had already been referred to an other organization where they explained to her that the baby needed two surgeries, but she does not speak Spanish, which made it impossible for her to understand her son's situation.(she only speaks the tsotsil language).
Sanando Heridas took action immediately, an adjustable pediatric dentistry silicone plate was placed on him every week, and a special bottle was provided to feed him. Management work was also carried out to admit him to the Tuxtla Specialty Hospital. On June 2, the baby was operated on for the first time and in all queriest his mother was accompanied by a bilingual nurse from SH, to translate, support and follow up.
After the surgery, when his mother saw him, she said with joy “my son is another child, he is not the same as he came in, he looks very different.” She asked for help to send photos to her father. After his last appointment in Tuxtla, baby returns to SH with a respiratory infection, the mother says that her husband ran out of money to send his family or return to Chiapas and they have replaced baby's formula with pozol and water. It was then that SH decided to support the family with groceries and food, following up on their evolution every week. the baby is scheduled to receive his second operation on November 27.
This case, along with many others that Sanando Heridas attends, are possible thanks to the support of people like you
Thanks a lot

Muchas gracias
