Care for children under 18 years of age

Dear friends:

In the period from January to June this year, we provided 1,175 consultations with timely diagnoses and treatment to 470 children under 18 years of age. These diagnoses give us the following main data:

59.49% are female.
14.04% have gastrointestinal infections.
19.23% have acute respiratory infections.
12.77% have chronic malnutrition.
1.62% have acute chronic malnutrition.
13.79% have normal nutritional status.

Acute respiratory infection diseases are the most frequent in the area in this age group, as a result of low temperatures and COVID 19. In addition, we continue to work with the surveillance groups for boys and girls under 5 years of age in 7 service locations, granting the appropriate treatment.

In this period (Jan to June) we have received $3056.18 usd corresponding to 61 donations from the GlobalGiving platform.

Thanks to your support and some co-investment partners, we managed to improve the health status of young people and minors.

Atención a menores de 18 años/ enero a junio 2022

Estimados amigos:

En el período del mes de enero a junio de este año, otorgamos 1,175 consultas con diagnósticos y tratamiento oportuno a 470 menores de 18 años. Estos diagnósticos nos arrojan los siguientes principales datos:

De estas consultas el 59.49% es de género femenino.
14.04% presenta Infección gastrointestinal.
19.23% presenta Infección respiratorias aguda.
12.77% presenta desnutrición crónica.
El 1.62% presenta desnutrición crónica agudizada.
13.79% presenta estado nutricional normal.

Las enfermedades por infección respiratoria aguda son las más frecuentes en la zona en este grupo de edad, resultado de las bajas temperaturas y por COVID 19. Además, continuamos trabajando con los grupos de vigilancia de menores de 5 años en las 7 localidades de atención, otorgando los tratamientos oportunos.

En este período (ene a jun) hemos recibido $3056.18 usd correspondientes a 61 donativos provenientes de la plataforma de GlobalGiving.

Gracias a tu apoyo y de algunos socios en coinversión logramos mejorar el estado de salud de los niños, niñas y jóvenes indígenas tsotsiles.
