Gloria, a 42-year-old female resident of Ihuachasi village, Amichi in Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State, was diagnosed with Left Breast Cancer in 2021. She's married with 3 children.

Gloria is receiving treatment at GABRO SPECIALIST HOSPITAL, Nnewi, Anambra State for TRIPLE NEGATIVE left breast cancer of two years duration with distant metastasis. According to her Surgeon, she is benefiting from Bevacizumab (Avastin) injection, but she’s now finding it difficult to keep up with her 3 weekly doses that should last for 12 doses.

Our Legacy Project on Healthcare Access to Indigent Women in Nigeria granted Gloria enrollment in the Phase 3, Anambra State Health Insurance Scheme for her primary healthcare needs in October 2023, alongside fifty additional indigent women with breast and cervical cancers. This brings the total number of cancer adoptees under ASA Women USA Cancer Coalition Team to one hundred and twenty-one (121). Thanks to the generous support of ASA Women USA, Gloria was awarded a grant of 1.3 million Naira, along with two other approved grants of one million naira each to Scholastica and Christiana for their breast cancer cares in 2023.

ASA Women USA, Inc. In partnership with GlobalGiving Foundation and Catholic Diocese of Nnewi is calling on you to invest in our legacy project to establish the Anambra Cancer Diagnostic and Treatment Center in the premises of the Amichi-Nnewi Axis of the Diocese, Anambra State, Nigeria and to financially support our adopted women diagnosed with breast and/ or cervical cancer.

ASA Women USA, Inc. strengthens the healthcare of indigent women with Cancer and other Maternal Health concerns in Anambra State, Nigeria one woman at a time.
