Cardiac Surgery for 4 African Children

We saved the lives of twelve children last month! A delegation from San Donato Policlinic Milan, Italy joined the resident team in Shisong for a hugely successful mission. Twelve children with different cardiac diseases from different parts of Cameroon and Nigeria underwent Open Heart Surgery from Nov 13 - 16, 2017. A long and grueling effort on the part of all the doctors and nurses, but so rewarding. Best of all, little Ange, whose surgery you sponsored, was among them. He was admitted on the November 11 for pre-surgical procedures and underwent surgery on November 11. On December 6, he was later discharged from the Shisong Cardiac Center, fully recovered, strong and active, though he will need to undergo a second operation in the near future. Words alone cannot express how thankful Ange's parents felt for this generous assistance they received. They expressed their sincere thanks and gratitude to all those who supported them in one way or another and pray God forever blesses them.
