We are happy to announce that we have met our quarterly costs for the last quarter of 2023. As we look to 2024, we are excited to see that the operations costs for the Center will be dropping slightly, as more and more parents are able to contribute to the Center and support their own children.
Each year we get closer and closer to becoming fully self sustainable, and that is thanks to these incremental organizational changes. We added 100 new women to our loan program this year, meaning we have new loans that will be gathering interest to cover our operations costs. Our transition from a free education center to a paid school also works towards covering these costs.
Currently, we still charge less than half of what a typical public school would charge in school fees, in an effort to change slowly enough that our beneficiaries can keep up with it. As always, our overal goal is to provide access to education in literacy, finance, technology and creative arts in post-war areas of Northern Uganda. To do this, we continually adapt to meet our communities needs.
We are so grateful for your support in this project. We look forward to keeping you updated as 2024 progresses.
We hope you have a beautiful holiday season with friends and family.
