Happy 2023! As we move into our fifth year, we have many accomplishments to celebrate. In just five years, we have; found our absolutely amazing Ugandan Director, Orombi Gladies, moved into two different offices, trained our first cohort of women in jewelry making, held a formal graduation ceremony, screened and accepted a second group of beneficiaries, started a second vocational track of basket making, and continue to employ women at a fair wage! We could not be happier with these achievements.
Fundraising will continue to be our biggest hurdle in 2023. The current economy does not lend itself to generous GlobalGiving. Our monthly donors are our all-stars, we appreciate you! We are looking for opportunities to showcase our lovely handmade jewelry and baskets in local markets, at in-home parties (think Tupperware party!), and we are in the process of creating an online store for greater market reach. We hope you will consider hosting an event in your home to support our mission.
2023 will be an excellent year for The Ribe Project. We hope you will be a part of our upcoming successes by continuing to support us!
Cheers!
