Hello Ribe Family! Just a quick note to catch you all up on what's going on with The Ribe Project since our last check-in. Here's what's new with us;
In April we brought a teacher/artisan from Kampala to our Gulu office, for a week-long training program for our current beneficiaries. Our lovely ladies learned how to create beautiful baskets using raffia and other local elements. Everyone did incredibly well and caught on quickly. Because of this, we will be adding these in-demand baskets to our product line very soon! Stay tuned for updates on this very cool addition.
For the first time since Covid affected our lives, I will be heading back to Gulu in July. It has been far too long since I've been able to be there to directly observe operations. I will be meeting with each of our beneficiaries in person for the first time, speaking face to face with the amazing Gladies Orombi, our Gulu director, and touring our newest office for the first time. To say I am excited would be the understatement of the decade! Of course, you can expect many updates and photos on social media in the coming weeks.
