This year, the community's experience with rainfall has transformed significantly. In the past, heavy rains compelled residents to trek over a mile to obtain water, subjecting them to drenching downpours and the burden of transporting the weighty water containers. However, thanks to the generous assistance from Gulf International Bank (UK), this year has ushered in a remarkable change. Clean water is now available right at their doorstep, rendering the journey effortless and providing round-the-clock access.
This transformation has brought about multifaceted benefits. Schoolchildren are punctual, as they no longer face delays due to water-fetching expeditions, and the elderly now relish the convenience of readily available clean water. Moreover, the community has embraced education regarding proper water hygiene and safe storage practices, resulting in a notable reduction in waterborne illnesses compared to previous years.
Equally noteworthy is the remarkable enhancement in sanitation standards. With the provision of individual toilets, the community's hygiene and safety are no longer compromised. This accomplishment stands as a testament to the collective effort and support extended to this project.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who contributed to this transformative endeavor, as the community now thrives in improved living conditions with enhanced access to safe water and sanitation facilities.
