Dear Supporters (and of course part of Grace Honduras team),
As we close the 2024 academic year, we are filled with gratitude and hope. None of what we’ve accomplished would have been possible without your unwavering support. Together, we are making a profound difference in the lives of children and families in need.
This year, 131 students successfully completed their academic year, a testament to their hard work and your generosity.
Thanks to your donations:
We provided approximately 50,000 plates of food, nourishing not only our students but also children working at the landfill who visit Grace Honduras for a meal.
We hosted several medical brigades, ensuring the health and well-being of our community.
We celebrated the graduation of another Preschool class, marking a beautiful milestone in their educational journey.
We exceeded expectations by offering more than 200 days of classes, surpassing our educational goals.
We proudly graduated our third class of ninth-grade students, paving the way for their future opportunities.
Our end-of-year evaluations showed significant progress in reading and writing for 79% of our students, reflecting their dedication and the quality of education we provide.
Looking ahead, we are working tirelessly to become an official non-governmental Basic Education Center. Meanwhile, we are thrilled to confirm that every student will receive their certification next year, ensuring their hard-earned efforts are recognized.
All of this was made possible because of YOU. Your generosity, prayers, and belief in our mission fuel our fight against child exploitation in the San Pedro Sula landfill. Together, under God’s guidance, we are creating lasting change.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you, thank you, thank you for trusting us and for being part of our team. Together, we celebrate the completion of eight incredible academic years at Grace Honduras.
With gratitude and hope,
MSc. Katherine Melissa Mejía
