It's 3 am in the morning, Jason and Josselin, are coming off after a night of hard work picking up plastic bottles, riding downhill in their bike they realize brakes don't work, they crash into the concrete floor into their faces.
Their brothers knock our door and we run to see two boys covered in blood and dirt, crying in pain.
We know nothing about nursing so we did what we could to stop the bleeding, gave meds for pain, and took them home.
They didn't wanted to go to the ER in the public hospital because they believe they will get infected of Covid-19 there.
Our staff spent two weeks cleaning their wounds and providing food for them to not go back to the dump until their wounds are completely healed.
They recovered, God did the miracle!
This is just a glimpse of the work we have been doing during all this health crisis.
From being the "ambulance" of the community, being a nurse, teacher, psychologist, cook, and much more.
We have work every day to help our families pass this hard time without much suffering and hunger.
But it is impossible without your support.
Help Grace Honduras serve the children who still in pandemic go to the municipal trash dump to pick up recyclables to bring food to their tables.
