Dear friends of GlobalGiving and of Fundacion Dones de Misericordia, we hope that this year 2023 is bringing blessings and joy to your lives and those of your loved ones.
All the staff and volunteers are very grateful that you have joined or continue helping to provide children with high quality comprehensive education where they can develop their skills in all cognitive, physical and emotional areas and thus shape their dreams and achieve them.
The Fundacion Dones de Misericordia in 2023 continues with the goal of providing the children with the tools they need to accomplish their academic objectives (i.e.mathematics and literacy) both in the areas of social performance and in a future job projection.
We develop the “Superheroes Program” which is a transformation strategy that will provide children and adolescents with proven powerful tools to feel empowered, increase self-esteem, learn to have a positive internal dialogue and balance emotions! The basic life skills to thrive in life and be confident and resilient! Among other activities, the relaxation technique and guided meditation were put into practice from Monday to Thursday after lunch, and on Fridays dance therapy. Daily community outings, recreational activities, morning exercises, and ecological walks are scheduled.
During this period, as planned, we reviewed the importance of healthy eating (i.e. fruits and vegetables) which included employees and children.
During this period, it was possible to carry out awareness and orientation activities for families as a strategy for strengthening parental skills, in the same way the activities to be developed during the year 2023 are explained.
Infrastructure arrangements continue, specifically in the division of the dining room and office space of the psychosocial area.
For now, we wish you, your family and your loved ones a wonderful rest of the year with many memories for treasure forever. Your monthly commitment and efforts through your donations will continue to help us expand our school and impact the lives of our children!
