Give a Home to a Child in need from Cartagena

Dear Fundación Dones de Misericordia Supporters, 

We hope this message brings joy and inspiration for the rest of 2022. It has been a year of adjustments as we return to a new way of connecting with others, learning, and interacting while keeping everyone healthy. Your donations help us to meet the needs of the boys. 

This year we have focused on supporting the boys in catching up with their academics, providing weekly activities to increase positive behaviors and improve interpersonal relationships. The boys have been able to practice their social skills while having fun during multiple community outings to a local animal protection center, Aviario de Cartagena, the movie theater in Plaza Bocagrande Mall, Plaza de Manzanillo del Mar, and Centro Recreacional Los Lagos.

Since the main goal is to reunite families, we continue to provide parent training sessions to increase their behavior management skills as we prepare them to return to their family homes. Unfortunately, not all boys and families can reunite, so we continue supporting these boys to grow healthy mentally and physically, ensuring all their needs are met.

As the boys return to class, we will continue to provide opportunities that will allow them to explore their interests in higher education and vocational and leisure activities such as baking, painting, cooking, etc.  

We wish you, your family, and loved ones continue enjoying each other's company by creating happy moments that will stay in your memories forever. Your commitment and monthly efforts through your donations will continue to help us to bring happy memories for the kids and not only fix the damage that the rainy season has brought to the building but also build the house of their dreams!
