Give a Home to a Child in need from Cartagena

Dear Fundación Dones de Misericordia Family, 

As the Holiday Season approaches, we would like to express our gratitude for your continued support which has allowed us to begin the plan to build the new home for the kids while the team of professionals and caregivers continue supporting their healthy development.  

As schools returned to classes in person, the kids have received additional support in mathematics, reading comprehension, and writing. Additionally, Sports with Values have been integrated to strengthen their values, healthy relationships, education, peace, and healthy lifestyles. Lastly, we continue to expose children to different activities to help them identify their preferred activities.

We reviewed the findings from the observation of the four groups and will continue nurturing the children who are under our care until their rights are guaranteed, those who may not return to their homes, and those who turn 18 and pursue higher education.

We are proud of the recent accomplishment of one of the boys who came to our Casa de Los Dones four years ago, who transitioned to our extended program, and turned 18 years old: Last month he was admitted to the architecture program at a top-ranking university in Bogota, Colombia which begins in January 2022. 

We wish for you to begin this Holiday Season in the company of your family and friends and that you continue being healthy and happy surrounded by love and peace. Your monthly donations or one-time donations mean the world to these children whose future changes with our actions of care, compassion, and love every day.
