This report by Jayanti of Parjashila village, when in Class V shows the quality of teaching in Agragamee School. Now in Class VII of the Government School High School, Jayanti and her 15 friends from Agragamee maintain a comfortable lead in class. The quality of learning of children from Agragamee School has motivated the entire tribal community and parents from several villages upto 25 kms. from Agragamee School have sought admission for their daughters.
Loathe to deny opportunities to girls from some of the poorest and most deprived communities in India, Agragamee has admitted them on a first come first serve basis.
Agragamee Schools seeks transport support for 215 girls to help them have quality education. The generous support from donors in Global Giving has helped us buy a 20 seater bus. We need one more bus, to help reduce the number of trips and enable all children reach school and return home on time. Parents albeit their poverty have agreed to support 50% of the transportation costs!
The happiest people are 215 girls! Let us help them all have a wonderful Education in Agragamee School
