TLC Children's Home recently partnered with Afrika Tikkun, a youth upliftment programme that addresses youth unemplyment and poverty in South Africa.
The programme is a huge success so far, as TLC provides board, lodging and training to unskilled young women, who in turn are providing childcare to the 35 babies in our nursery. This has greatly improved our child to caregiver ratio, and the women are bringing new life to our depleted resources.
The children are loving their upgraded nursery. We need repairs to the play equipment outside the nursery, so as to ensure the children's safety, while providing sturdy facilities for them to play, explore and have sun and fresh air.
Please consider making aother donation to this project, as we will use it towards the upgrade to our play equipment.
