J B Singh Learning Bridge for Girls aims to support girls reaching education levels commensurate with their age.
The school is also becoming more committed to making education accessible to girls from all castes in the village of Kaliyachak as well as the surrounding villages. Parent and teacher meetings are occuring regularly and these meetings have been important to ensuring regularity and punctuality in the students' attendance.
Final examinations have been conducted and most of the girls have passed with an average score of 55%. There has been a request from the students and parents to start a batch for class 7, but we have put this on hold due to the unavailability of teachers in the village and the lack of funds to expand the number of classes.
We are currently charting the calendar for the new academic year, and creating lesson plans. This year we aim to help the parents (especially for new admissions) procure birth certificates and identity cards for their children as well as establish regular vaccination schedules for their children.
