1 Sleeping Bag for 1 Life

We are delighted to share an update on the impact of your generosity through our “1 Sleeping Bag for 1 Life” project. Thanks to your support, we have successfully procured and distributed 50 high-quality sleeping bags to the most disadvantaged single women-led families. These families live in the mountainous and hilly regions of Kaski district, where winter is exceptionally harsh and temperatures plummet, making survival a daily challenge.

The distribution was completed just in time before the onset of the severe winter season. Each sleeping bag has provided not only warmth but also hope and a sense of security for these families. For many, this is the first time they have ever received such a life-saving item.

One of the recipients, Rammie (name changed), a single mother, expressed her heartfelt gratitude, saying:

“It’s like God sent. The winter was quite harsh last year, and for the first time in my life, I see a sleeping bag. It’s worth a lifeline. I am so blessed and happy for my children.”

Her words remind us of the immense difference we can make together. These sleeping bags are more than just a way to keep warm; they are symbols of care, compassion, and the brighter future we envision for these resilient families.

As colder months arrive in less than 3 months, I am pleased to share with you the progress and preparations for our upcoming winter initiative. Thanks to your unwavering support, we have made significant strides in our "1 Sleeping Bag for 1 Life" project, which is dedicated to providing warmth and protection to those most in need.

1. Overview of Progress
Our previous efforts have successfully distributed over 1,200 sleeping bags to vulnerable and disadvantaged families. The impact of these contributions has been profound, offering not just physical warmth but also a sense of dignity and hope during the harsh winter nights.

2. Next Steps for Winter 2024
As we prepare for the upcoming winter, we are set to initiate our next phase of distribution. Our goal is to provide sleeping bags to over 50 beneficiaries who are at high risk of suffering from the severe cold. These families are among the most marginalized and are in urgent need of support.

• Logistics: Coordination with local partners and transportation arrangements to ensure timely and efficient distribution
