In the heart of one of the camps in northern Syria, young Mohammad lived in silence for eight long years. Years passed without him hearing his mother's voice calling him, or laughing with his friends at the sound of birds in the sky. The world around him was a silent scene, where he could only communicate through glances, deprived of the simplest right in life... the right to hear.
But that silence finally ended, thanks to God and your generous donations. We were able to provide Mohammad with a hearing aid at one of SEMA’s hearing centers, and the day he heard his first sounds... was unforgettable. Words cannot describe the moment he heard his mother’s heartbeat while she embraced him, as tears of joy filled everyone’s eyes.
Today, Mohammad smiles, talks, and listens to the world around him, all thanks to your compassionate hearts. But there are still hundreds of children like Mohammad, waiting for the same opportunity. Each day passes without them hearing words of love, the laughter of a child, or even the sound of rain.
