Healthy Meals for Special Needs Romanian Orphans

BIG NEWS !!!

OUR DELIA'S CENTER FOR SPECIAL NEEDS KIDS HAS RELOCATED to a new, location. It was unexpected that we lost our lease when the landlord decided to sell the space. You can imagine our concern but this turned into a real blessing in disguise as we found a new location, a bit larger, where we can serve more children. EXTRA great news is that off of the kitchen, is a special new space for us - a combination of dining room and family. We took a room adjacent to the kitchen and are turning into a comfortable, larger area where everyone can fit at once for meal time AND we are adding in a comfy couch area to great a family room where our chef/wellness director who is like a mom to many of the older kids, can have quiet talks. Our social worker also LOVES having this space too!

There are always unexpected costs with moving and we have done our best having to unexpectedly renovate a new space. There were not many choices in Barlad that met our needs and were affordable. We are still outfitting the new kitchen and needing to purchase some items such as a microwave and to put in a better, larger grill for cooking hot meals each day. We have begun to purchase more tables and chairs and would love to be able to quickly add in couches. We are grateful for your support and would very much appreciate any additional donation you might like to make so that we can cook more meals - we now have 50 kids!!  - so that has increased the size of the equipment we need and seating areas.
