HOPE Africa worked in partnership with the Black Sash to provide Happy, healthy Me – an interactive workbook to children in ECD centres.
Happy, healthy Me is a short and fun way for young kids to be introduced to the Constitution, their socio-economic rights, and their food rights. The book also teaches young children how to start a food garden, how to cook easy recipes, and where some of their food comes from! The book comes in both a full colour and colouring book version. The children will have lots of fun learning about different food types, how to plant food and even how to make simple, delicious meals with the help of their parents or older siblings.
We hope the book inspires our little ones to start their own vegetable patches at home and grow their own food.
We were also able to donate wet bags donated by UCT Sports Department.
God bless
