On 24/12/2021, with the support from GlobalGiving we distributed 5 water filters to the 5 vulnerable families in Nyamagana village.
"Drinking clean water is important in life," This was said by the recipients of water filters because of they were happy that they would never drink dirty water again! "We thank God, our sponsors and Dufatanye Organization," they said.
Many rural villages in Nyanza district have a problem with access to safe drinking water because they fetch bad water from the rivers and take it more than an hour to fetch it.
When the Dufatanye Organization's staff went to Kabisine, Kadusenyi and Karwiru villages for an assessment, they found the remaining 289 households were all drinking bad water from the river and they travel more than an hour to get water! Support is still needed to protect the lives of many.
