It is estimated that 9 out of 10 girls in Ghana regularly miss school during their menstrual periods, largely due to lack of access to menstrual products and period shaming. In the cause of accessing sanitary products to manage their periods, some girls are taken advantage of by older men who gets them pregnant. This project seeks to provide healthy reusable sanitary pads to 500 school girls in 10 deprived communities in Ghana to stay in school. It would also educate them on menstrual hygiene.

Some girls also use unhealthy cloths to manage their periods.
This project seeks to provide healthy reusable sanitary pads to 500 school girls in 10 deprived communities in Ghana to stay in school. These reusable sanitary pads are healthy, easy to wash and easy to use. When kept properly, they can last for atleast a year. This would provide girls with a more sustainable way of managing their periods. This project would also educate these girls on menstrual hygiene, highlighting on how they can properly manage their periods and the sanitary pads given.
This project would provide a sustainable way for girls to manage their periods. This would increase girls retention in school while drastically reducing teenage pregnancy.
