Dear supporters,

Thank you for being a part of the changes we are seeing in the lives of children, families and communities in which we work.

You are making such a huge difference each and every day in the lives of these children, it is so wonderful to see these kids smile, it lights up my whole day, I hope it does yours as well…!

There are many days when the work that we do can be overwhelming and full of challenges. However, there is not ever a day that I am not encouraged by seeing that the work that we do is changing and transforming lives.

During the last couple of months our focus was on providing support for the children and their families with after school educational support; providing necessary school materials for the children; advisory support for the parents; life skills workshops for the children and parents; creative workshops; drama classes; dancing classes.

During the summers we had scout volunteers from France that brought their culture close to our children and encouraged them to build their scout spirit and excitement. It has been a great time for both, the children and the volunteers as well. Our program has been also enriched with drama classes run by professional actors, volunteering at our Centre.

In August we have celebrated our 25 years anniversary! Our Educative Centre NADEZ (HOPE) 25 years has been beam of light, hope, support, direction, affirmation, strength and safety for more than 6000 vulnerable children and their families.

It is because of people like you, sharing your compassion and support in a very real way, these children are able to dire obstacles and finish school, go to high school and even university, feed their families and help their peers make better choices with their lives.

The start of the new school year in September brought a new excitement for the children. Thanks to the support of many individuals like you, we managed to provide the necessary school supplies for all the children visiting our Centre, so they could have an equal start of the school year just like their peers. More than 30 children are visiting our Centre every day and are mastering their school curriculum through creativity, mentored by our educators and volunteers.

Our program with the parents is something that we also pay special attention to. Interactive workshops in mix groups of students-parents were organized during the last couple of months on the topics of: “Responsible parenting”,”Gender equality”, “Cyber bulling” ,” Punishing and rewarding as measures in raising children”. Also an individual advisory support for the parents is being provided on daily basis at our Centre.

We are very excited to share with you that our project is participating in GlobalGiving’s Giving Tuesday Campaign. The campaign will last 24 hours, from 00:00:00 EST to 23:59:59 EST on November 29, 2022. GlobalGiving is offering a $1,200,000 Incentive Fund that will be distributed to participants proportionally based on final fundraising totals. Please help us win the Incentive Funds by donating to our project. Mark your calendar for November 29 to #MoveaMillion on #GivingTuesday!

Our program is facing serious challenges in providing financial support for the next period and joint action is needed more than ever for continuous educational support for these vulnerable children. Please share this project with your contacts and invite them to consider supporting this ongoing project.

Once again thank you for partnering with us! Thank you for caring and believing in these children! Thank you for all of your support and encouragement!

On behalf of our team, and the children and their families, please know that you are sincerely and deeply appreciated.
