As we enter 2023, we are looking at ways to expand and raise the efforts around GIrls in Tech by looking at collaborations within the community.
We are planning a Hackathon in the first quarter with a host Investment Bank to host the children and volunteers in their office. Women in Tech is another group we are looking to collaborate with so that professionals from the community are able to connect and inspire the youth.
As a rule, however, we do not want to do this exclusively with young ladies, we want young gentlemen to also be included so that it is a given and natural for the tech sector to continue to be inclusive and diverse.
We are also being very active in our recruitment efforts to find opportunities for the Ambassadors once they age out of the homes.. This week one of our Ambassadors will have an interview at a data center of a donor company. We look for more opportunities to bridge between the 1,600 children turning 18 out of the 600 homes and companies looking for new hires.
