This update highlights the daily life and impact of the dormitory, emphasizing the positive environment and the valuable opportunities it provides.
With 17 beds, 19 girls, and a dedicated teacher, this dormitory truly serves as “a home away from home” for our students. It has become a vital space for fostering a strong sense of belonging, community, and social inclusion.
A Day in the Life at the Dormitory
The daily routine at the dormitory is structured starting as early as 5:30 AM. The girls begin their day by tidying up before taking breakfast. They then attend classes from 6:30 AM until 4:30 PM. After school they engage in practical activities such as washing uniforms, helping out with watering crops and caring for rabbits. The day wraps up with a communal dinner and dedicated study time, before lights out at 9:00 PM.
Building Bonds and Beyond
The dormitory is more than just a place to stay; it’s a nurturing environment where lifelong friendships are formed. The girls cherish the sense of community and the culture of sharing and caring that thrives here.
A Space for Growth and Wellness
We are proud of the supportive and open environment that our dormitory fosters. It offers a safe space for the girls to express their thoughts and feelings, promoting wellness and mental well-being. The girls have expressed their appreciation for the comfortable amenities and the supportive social circle they have found here.
Looking Forward
While our students are grateful for the current setup, they have shown enthusiasm for additional time to engage in after-school projects.
The establishment and ongoing success of the Girls' Dormitory at Roko 20 has been transformative. It continues to provide a nurturing home environment, a strong support system, and enriching educational opportunities.
We are deeply grateful for your continued support, which makes all of this possible.
Thank you for being an essential part of our community and helping us create a bright future for these young girls.
