The girls of Gulu remain in dire need of sanitary pad supplies and reproductive health lessons. Period justice is an issue of great importance in the region, and this project has the potential to signficantly improve conditions.
Due to a stagnation in fundraising, we have not been able to raise nearly as much money as we had hoped for this month. This has inspired us to return to a strategic planning session with our local leader, Kevin, who spearheads the implementation of the program. In our conversation in the upcoming week, we will establish a renewed strategy to improve our next round of fundraising.
We will continue conversations with local stakeholders, including the sanitary pad manufacturers and the recipients of the supplies. We recognize the importance of active engagement with the community, so we will prioritize listening and learning to do better in this next stage.
