December is very chilly in the mountains of Northern Thailand at night and in the early morning when the children go off to school. We were gearing up to raise funds for a school bus that would hold all the children safely in one trip each way to school when the engine seized.
We were able to get the word out, and on Tuesday, December 1, #GivingTuesday, we raised the funds to buy a new bus! Our staff is out looking for one right now. They are not easy to find and we may modify a flatbed trailer.
This is an investment that will be shared well beyond our Children's Home as we help transport the elderly and disabled of all ages for wellness and participation in community events.
As soon as we have the bus, we will send photos. Our children will be extremely grateful, as they are shuttling to school in the back of a pick-up truck. And it is very cold at 6:30 in the morning!
We are grateful and our children feel the love and caring from around the world!
You made this possible.
Thank you!
Best wishes for a safe and joyous holiday season!
