This war in Gaza has left families facing immense hardship. There’s no electricity – homes are destroyed and tents are in complete darkness. There are nighttime bombings and sudden evacuations. Light, something so simple, is a critical need. Nightlights offer safety, comfort, and hope in these incredibly difficult times.
To address this, Rebuilding Alliance has partnered with the Jordanian Hashemite Charitable Organization (JHCO) to deliver solar lights to families in Gaza and we are exploring partnerships with other International NGOs too, to assure the lights will reach RA’s warehouses. We’re working closely with two trusted manufacturers — one German, one U.S. to purchase high-quality solar lights. RA’s Logistics Team is making significant progress and is working through the paperwork needed to get these lights approved for entry into Gaza.
This process is not easy. The war disrupted supply chains; looting is a huge problem. RA’s Logistics Team is learning that it is wise to start with small shipments to test the delivery path. We have great experience:
Rebuilding Alliance asks your help to make rechargeable solar lights a reality in Gaza. Together with our partners and the communities on the ground, you will bring light back to Gaza—one child, one family at a time.
