We are thrilled to announce that construction on the Mwituria School dormitory will start very soon and this is thanks to you!
While we did not raise all the funds we hoped for, your efforts and generosity mean that we are now able to complete half of the building, leaving space for expansion for when we reach our fundraising efforts. This temporary solution will allow the student to use the building as originally intended, until we can finish the whole structure.
A contractor has been identified. He was vetted by both the school and Ol Pejeta's Logistic team who are very experienced in building projects. The contractor has done a few site visits and has worked closely with Ol Pejeta to develop the floor plan which we have attached to this report.
We will of course stay in close touch with you as soon as the construction begins. This amazing development wouldn't have been possible without you and we can't wait to send you photos once the building has started.
