July and August 2021 were remarkable months where we pushed the boundaries further in saving more lives by rescuing several animals that were in distress and by performing a few special surgeries successfully, thanks to the overwhelming support we received from our donors.
The most significant rescues were that of Mittu and Jaanu - both suffering immeasurably; but responding well to the treatment and care and rebounding quickly. Little pupper Chutki who came with a fractured limb has also recovered dramatically and is now able to bear weight on all four limbs.
In these two months, we also accomplished 40 adoptions of pets from the shelter as well as from different foster homes. Much to our delight, one of our long-term resident rescue pets, Michael with his permanent wink, after his eye was surgically removed following an accident at the time of rescue, finally found his forever home.
These two months also saw several life-saving special surgeries - from amputations and tumor excisions to emergency C-sections - successfully carried out and the patients rehabilitated promptly. We squeezed in a few rabies vaccination drives as well that helped in creating awareness among the public about Rabies and the need to keep vaccination status current, not only for pets, but also for community animals.
While your $10 donation covers the cost of 1 spay/neuter surgery and vaccination against rabies, $60 donation covers the complete cost of food for all the 150 residents of the shelter and sanctuary each day.
Thanks to your compassion and kindness, we are able to rescue and rehabilitate many sick, injured and abandoned animals. Kindly continue to support us!
Gratefully,
